Restoration of Art
When you’re looking to have a fine painting expertly restored, you need look no further than
Denise LeBeau’s Restoration of Art. Denise has 15 years of experience and received intensive
training at the prestigious Palazzo Spinelli in Florence, one of Italy’s finest Restoration
Institutes, where she worked on Renaissance paintings and frescos. Denise also studied at the
University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art. She has worked at the Glenbow Museum,
and with a British trained restoration expert for five years. Art restoration is a precise,
meticulous process. The process begins with an assessment of the painting. The restoration
expert will then prepare a time estimate, based on the condition of the work and recommended
treatments. Using modern conservation methods, the restorer will stabilize any vulnerable
areas and then take the necessary steps to prepare the painting to be surface cleaned, varnish
removed, tears and holes repaired, warping relaxed and relining if necessary. Expert color
retouching and revarnishing are applied. Since relocating to Vancouver, Denise has worked on
many projects with fellow conservators and the Vancouver Museum and has become a member
of the Pacific Conservators Group. Denise is happy to make a one-on-one appointment for you
to meet with her on an initial assessment. Call Denise LeBeau to have your painting restored to
its original pristine beauty.
