Mountain Whitewater Descents

Brad Modesitt knows that a successful whitewater rafting experience begins with the right guide. At Mountain Whitewater Descents, the guides have medical training and Swiftwater Rescue certifications. They know the Cache la Poudre River and the plants and animals that live here. They also have a sense of fun that just won’t quit. Brad opened his company on Colorado’s only Wild and Scenic River in 2000. Since then, some 7,000 people make Mountain Whitewater Descents their destination each year from mid-May to the end of August. The company offers thrilling half and full day rafting adventures plus kayak instruction. Early in the season, the minimum age is 13; as water levels change, younger children are welcome. The Poudre starts in Rocky Mountain National Park and tumbles through cliffs and rock spires, offering a continuous adrenaline surge on Class II, III and IV rapids. You can purchase a photo or video of you and your team coursing down the river. The park at Mountain Whitewater Descents invites lingering with frisbee golf, volleyball and a nature trail. You’ll also find a hot tub, barbecue and a pond for practicing kayak rolling. Experience the grandeur of the Poudre with the topnotch guides at Mountain Whitewater Descents. Brad, Lindsey and Ella look forward to taking you on your adventure.
